OZONE HYPERLINK V4 - THE ULTIMATE CROSSOVER FOIL KITE FOR WATER AND SNOW
The Hyperlink is a true multi-purpose foil kite. Set it up in closed cell 4-line mode on the water, or convert it to open cell 5-line mode for the ultimate in safe and versatile handling on the snow.
The V4 has been improved throughout, with lighter bar feeling and reduced aspect-ratio to make it faster and more nippy in its steering.
For kiters who are used to the handling feel of an inflatable kite, the Hyperlink V4's similar steering performance makes it the obvious choice when transitioning to using a foil kite.
The Hyperlink V4 covers almost every aspect of kiting. Freeride, hydrofoil, boost and float, air style or unhooked as well as backcountry snow missions; it delivers for all!
The Hyperlink may not be as fast as your inflatable kite, but the way it moves and turns will feel more familiar than other foil kites.
By adding the Hyperlink V4 to your quiver you'll enjoy incredible stability, light wind power and cross-over performance. The familiar handling feel will keep your adjustment time to a minimum, meaning you'll be having more fun, more quickly.

DESIGN INSIGHTS:
"Developing the Hyperlink is always exciting. Thanks to the multi-purpose design brief it takes us from riding twin tips and foils on water, to the highest peaks in the mountains on snow... and anywhere in between.
"We found the V3 could fatigue your arms on long days in the mountains, so we worked on reducing the bar pressure and steering forces while also increasing the turning speed.
The V4 is now more fun on snow as it nicely accelerates through the loops, is extremely stable while offering great depower. Oh, and it glides pretty well too! On water, the increased handling makes it more fun and easier to send for big jumps."
DOM ZIMMERMANN, OZONE HEAD KITE DESIGNER
MADE FOR DYNAMIC HANDLING
The V4 incorporates Ozone's signature Transverse Sail Shaping, ensuring a smoother aerodynamic profile and reducing air turbulence. The kite's upper and lower surfaces are constructed from durable, lightweight, double rip-stop nylon with a water-shedding coating for improved aerodynamics and relaunch.
An optimized internal structure, with diagonal ribs and span-wise straps, ensures the profile maintains its shape under load, allowing consistent performance across all conditions.
FOR WATER AND SNOW
The Hyperlink V4 is the ultimate cross-over foil kite, designed for both water and snow. Easily switch between:
4-LINE CLOSED CELL MODE
The Hyperlink comes standard in 4-line Closed Cell Mode, which is recommended when using the kite on the water. It uses the same front line flag out safety system as our inflatable 4-line kites.
After pre-inflating the kite on the ground, the kite fully inflates itself in the air, offering responsive, intuitive steering that feels similar to an inflatable. This has been the hallmark of the Hyperlink range and why, for many, it's the perfect first foil kite.
The new V4 model handles even faster and with more freeride and jumping capabilities, bringing it even closer to the feel of an inflatable kite.
RELAUNCH
Relaunch is also quick and easy in closed cell mode as water is kept out of the cells. To relaunch the Hyperlink just pull one line, using the relaunch ball and / or brake handle on the back leader lines.
5-LINE OPEN CELL MODE
For safety, 5-Line Open Cell Mode is recommended when riding on snow or land. Due to the valves being open, inflation is also quicker.
Paired with the optional 5th line Internal Re-Ride Release System it allows for instant depower and safe self-landing, making it perfect for adventurous snowkiters. Simply relaunch again when you're rested and ready to go again.
HYPERLINK V4 Vs. CHRONO V5
ON THE WATER
Using the Hyperlink in closed cell 4-line mode (as recommended for use on the water), the Hyperlink V4 doesn't shoot as far forward in the window as the Chrono. With its higher aspect-ratio design the Chrono's airspeed is also faster, so it's capable of producing greater board speed and boosting height, but it's slower in its turning and wider in its arc.
If you're familiar with our inflatable kite range, think of the Hyperlink like the Enduro and the Chrono more like the Edge. The Hyperlink is more of an all-rounder, turning tighter and easier. Generally, it is more easy-going and has an excellent relaunch.
In gusty winds, or if you're overpowered, the Hyperlink V4 will also feel more stable.
The Chrono is the racier model and takes a little more technical foil kite know-how to handle it.
For freeride twin-tip and hydrofoil riding the Hyperlink V4 feels very intuitive. If you have some foil kite experience and are looking to ride your hydrofoil at speed, or push the biggest hang-times on your twin-tip, you should look at the Chrono for its fly and glide performance.
HYPERLINK V4 vs. OTHER OZONE SNOWKITES
ON THE SNOW
The Hyperlink's tight turning and superior handling are ideal for intermediate snowkiters through to advanced riders who seek adventure, with the power to climb hills and navigate difficult terrain.
(The Chrono V5 is a closed cell design, so it can't quickly expel air from its cells when trying to self-land / collapse the kite and kill the power, so isn't recommended for use on the snow.)
QUICK GUIDE: OZONE SNOWKITE RANGE
EXPLORE V3 - Beginner to advanced riders
Single surface design, dedicated to snow. Very safe (low lift), very easy to handle and forgiving with a light feel.
HYPERLINK V4 - Intermediate to advanced riders
Do-it-all double surface design, convertible from open to closed cell. The ultimate crossover foil kite for water and snow, enabling year round use.
EXP - Advanced to expert rider
Imagine an open cell Chrono. Double surface, high performance, high-aspect snow kite.
OZONE SAFETY
All Ozone snow kites come with our unique Internal Re-Ride Release System which is the market leading Snowkite release and landing system. It has made mountain climbing and packing so much more enjoyable, safe, easy and quick for the user. When activated the kite de-powers instantly without tangling, and will sit on the ground ready to re-launch when you're ready again.
BRAKE LINE SETTINGS
Three settings allow you to fine tune kite feedback and bar pressure to your liking. It is quick and easy to change with no extra lines to add or remove.
1: Hydrofoil
Decreases bar pressure with a longer lifting period, perfect for foiling maneuvers. The hydrofoil setting is the upper knot on the PB1 line.
2: All-round
The ideal balance in performance and feeling for most riders and conditions. The all-round setting is the middle knot on the PB1 line (factory setting).
3: Twin Tip
Increases bar pressure and offers a sharper, more direct feeling, perfect for twin tip riding. If you prefer a heavier and direct feel this could be the setting for you. The twin tip setting is the lower knot on the PB1 line.
FLYING LINE RECOMMENDATIONS
We recommend 23m lines for all Hyperlink V4 sizes, but shorter lines (10m-21m) offer greater responsiveness, especially for hydrofoiling. Shorter lines also enhance upwind ability in stronger winds.
(We have various line length sets available as optional extras. Please order from your local dealer.)
RETURNING DESIGN FEATURES
The Hyperlink V4 has improved in all aspects of its handling through small but progressive design tweaks, rather than an overhaul of what was already a successful cross-over foil kite design. Read more in the Features type in the menu options on this page.
